Week 14: Sedonia led swim

"The water is your friend...you don't have to fight with water, just share the same spirit as the water, and it will help you move." - Alexandr Popov

Shep and I are off to Napa to swim with Coach Sedonia, Carol, Jen Jay, Iron Phil, Cori, Tiffany, and Helen for a 'private' coached session, due to no open water swim permit today. Cheers!

Off to share the spirit. Go TEAM!

Soupy Fog
Shep carefully drove and I natrigatrixed through the thick, soupy fog this morning. Arnold Drive eluded us. Nowhere to be seen...like my mints I thought I grabbed and placed in my swim parka only to find a tube of lipstick. Hmmmm...curious.

Swim Drills
Coach Sedonia led us through very helpful drills to improve swim strokes  - very helpful. EVF - early vertical forearm; pulling your body ahead of your high elbow; body rolls; two kick kicks, etc. Thank you, Sedonia!  You are the best.

Lunch with the Girls
Super fun eating, talking, laughing and swapping stories with the girls during brunch post swim and core workout.

Talents that I have...amazing!
I knew that my glutes were tight, but unknowingly grabbing the edge of a toilet seat cover on my finish up in the ladies room and not being able to easily let go is a problem...for the love of G*d...really?  Seriously??  I clearly need to try to capitalize on this newfound skill. Hmmm...eye ponder....hmmm.. Would that be a fine motor or gross motor skill??   Bottom line (pun excused): I need a massage. Time to let go of the tension in my glutes and hip flexor area. Yowza!

The Mystery of the missing mints...
found them in my purse. 6AM departures are too early for me to function with all cylinders firing. doh!
